Hududiy marketing shunchaki targ‘ibot vositasidan rezidentlar, investorlar va davlat institutlari manfaatlarini ijtimoiy-iqtisodiy tizim doirasida muvofiqlashtirishga qaratilgan murakkab boshqaruv mexanizmiga aylandi. O‘zbekiston sharoitida ushbu yondashuv turizmning YaIMdagi ulushini 7 foizga yetkazish va urbanizatsiya darajasini 60 foizga oshirishni ko‘zda tutuvchi “O‘zbekiston — 2030” strategiyasi maqsadlariga erishishda hayotiy ahamiyatga ega. O‘zining ulkan salohiyatiga qaramay, amaliyotda hududiy marketing ko‘pincha reklama yoki PR-kampaniyalari bilan cheklanib qolmoqda; hududiy siyosatda solishtirma ustunliklardan o‘lchanadigan rivojlanish yo‘lida foydalanish tizimi yetishmaydi. Tadqiqotda davlat farmonlarining normativ-huquqiy tahlili hamda 2024–2026-yillardagi rasmiy statistik ma’lumotlar asosida Samarqand, Buxoro va Navoiy viloyatlarining qiyosiy keys-analizini o‘z ichiga olgan sifatli metodologiyadan foydalanildi.
