Annotatsiya

This article provides a comprehensive examination of the current state and development potential of adventure tourism in Uzbekistan, focusing on tourist experiences, sector-specific risks, and opportunities for sustainable development. The main objective of the study is to identify opportunities for developing adventure tourism through the effective utilization of Uzbekistan’s natural, geographical, ecological, and cultural resources and to develop scientific and practical recommendations for improving mechanisms of sustainable development in this tourism segment. The study employs a systematic approach, comparative analysis, statistical analysis, content analysis, and expert assessment methods. Uzbekistan’s mountainous areas, desert and natural landscapes, ecological destinations, and historical and cultural sites are considered important resource bases for the development of adventure tourism. At the same time, major risks are examined, including tourist safety, the level of transport and tourism infrastructure development, the shortage of qualified guides, pressure on natural ecosystems, the development of insurance services, and preparedness for emergency situations. The findings demonstrate the importance of strengthening safety standards, introducing digital technologies, increasing the participation of local communities in tourism activities, enhancing environmental responsibility, and diversifying regional tourism products. The scientific and practical approaches proposed in the study can contribute to establishing a competitive, safe, and environmentally responsible model of adventure tourism in Uzbekistan.
