The aim of this study is to analyze the conceptual foundations and history of adventure tourism, study the global market trends in the development of this type of tourism, the system of safety management and unique natural and cultural resources of Uzbekistan. There is great potential for the development of adventure tourism in the region using the resources. The research shows that despite Uzbekistan being an underdeveloped holiday destination in Central Asia, it has huge potential as an adventure tourism country. This is attributed to the Seven Mountain ranges in the country and the Chinese Silk Road heritage and political liberalization in the last 5 years (2017-). At the same time, however, there are a lot of problems left unresolved in the sector, including low standards of infrastructure, shaky legislation, the absence of an outdoor recreation culture, and weak international marketing. To continue to make Thailand more competitive as an adventure tourism destination, it is important to follow the trend of embedding the regulation into practice, with the utilisation of using the international standard of regulation, ISO 21101, along with sustainable community-based tourism, is needed.Kalit soʻzlar
