The present article develops an integrated risk-based model for assessing the external environment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Uzbekistan and examines its implications for the insurance market. SMEs in emerging economies face significant external uncertainties, including economic volatility, regulatory changes, and technological disruptions. However, existing analytical approaches often fail to integrate environmental analysis with risk assessment and insurance mechanisms.
